Today Government Polytechnic College Udhampur organised Online Yoga session to mark International Yoga Day in which all the staff and students participated with great enthusiasm. Yogi Ankur Tomar, Yoga instructor from Ved Urja Yoga Studio, Hamirpur Himachal Pradesh demonstrated the purpose of Yoga is to build strength, awareness as well as harmony in both mind and body. Yoga Guru expresses his view by exhorting that the true value and meaning of yoga could be arrived only when we dedicate our self for unification of mind, body and soul. Further, he also said if such initiative is sustained it would definitely benefit the society and a nation. Er. Suket Gupta, Principal encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.

Govt Polytechnic Udhampur organized online Poster making competition to celebrate World Environment Day. The purpose of celebrating this day was to aware masses about the threat to Environment because of rising pollution. First prize was bagged by Master Aman of 4th Semester while second prize was shared by Miss Nisha Devi of 4th sem and Master Harshwardh of 4th sem. The event was organized by Er. Deepak Gupta of the Institution.

Govt Polytechnic Udhampur today organized webinar on topic History of construction and concrete in collaboration with Planners Group Jammu for Polytechnic students. The webinar was attended by faculty and students of different Polytechnics of Jammu Division. The resource person for webinar was Er Vybhav Gupta who is presently working as Regional Technical Head for J&K and H.P in Ultratech Cement Ltd
In his presentation the speaker highlighted the history of construction. He also discussed about the latest construction materials like steel, cement, bricks etc. His main focus was to aware students about the latest available concrete at present.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Er Suket Gupta Principal and the programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Deepak Gupta Demonstrator of the institution.
